DELTA-P Safety Instructions
Installation
It is vital that the correct choice of products are used. Ensure that the quick connect coupler is suitable for installation. Check the required pressure, connection, temperature and flow characteristics are compatible to the medium being used. If in doubt contact the Delta-P team for guidance.
-
Ensure the hose, fittings and pipe work is clean
-
The system is depressurised
-
Correct protective clothing is being worn
-
Use the correct tools for the job
-
Lubricate the seals where necessary
-
Install the couplings in such a way that they can easily be connected and disconnected.
Storage
For ideal storage conditions, we recommend:
-
Products be kept in environments with a low percentage of humidity
-
No condensation
-
No salt
-
Protected from atmospheric factors
-
Far away from heating devices and magnetic fields
Maintenance
Run regular maintenance inspections. If any of the following are detected the products need to be replaced:
-
Will not connect to the mating half
-
Leakage detected
-
Cracks or corrosion noted
-
Malfunction in any way
-
The maintenance period should be determined by the end user. This is dependant on the application and operating conditions
-
Use the products in clean circuits. Contamination within circuits will damage the internal seals of the couplings and lead to leakage.
NEVER
-
Use inappropriate tools such as clamping tools or hammers on the couplings
-
Force the couplings apart under pressure
-
Disconnect before any trapped pressure has been relieved
-
Operate outside the working parameters of the couplings
-
Connect or disconnect the coupling at high temperature or under pressure
-
Dismantle a coupling. All warranty will be null and void
-
Strike the coupling to relieve trapped pressure in the circuit
Disposal
The product must be disposed according to the local law and the requirements of the relevant local authorities.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER TO SELECT, INSTALL AND USE THE HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC COUPLING IN THE CORRECT WAY. DELTA-P LTD CANNOT ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE.
